Museum of American Finance to Honor Richard A. Gephardt, Peter S. Lynch and Arthur D. Cashin, Jr. at 2025 Gala

New York, NY – The Museum of American Finance, the nation's only independent museum dedicated to finance and financial history, will honor the achievements of three financial leaders at its annual Gala on March 6, 2025. This year’s Gala will be held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in midtown Manhattan, with CNBC Senior Markets Correspondent Bob Pisani and “WealthTrack” Executive Producer and Managing Editor Consuelo Mack serving as the masters of ceremony.

Richard A. Gephardt—former Democratic Leader, U.S. House of Representatives—will receive the Whitehead Award for Distinguished Public Service and Financial Leadership. In his role as House Majority Leader (1989-1995) and House Minority Leader (1995-2003), Mr. Gephardt was the chief architect of landmark reforms in taxes, healthcare, pensions, education, energy, trade policy and fiscal responsibility. In addition, he worked closely with two U.S. Presidents and bipartisan members of Congress over a 10-year period to produce the second balanced federal budget in 75 years.

The Museum of American Finance 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award will honor Peter S. Lynch, vice chairman of Fidelity Management and Research Company, for his outstanding career. Mr. Lynch is considered one of the most successful money managers in Wall Street history. He ran Fidelity’s Magellan Fund from May 1977 to May 1990; during that time, he averaged a 29.2% annual return, making it the best-performing mutual fund in the world.

The Museum will also honor Arthur D. Cashin, Jr. (1941-2024) with a Special Recognition Tribute. As the director of floor operations for UBS at the New York Stock Exchange, he was a trusted advisor and highly regarded market pundit. In his over 60 years in the industry, he had a monumental impact on financial advisors, clients, colleagues and—as a market spokesperson on CNBC—the investing public at large.

Proceeds from the 2025 Gala help support all aspects of the Museum’s mission to promote financial education by preserving, exhibiting and teaching about American finance and financial history.
