Sanford F. Crystal | Treasurer
Sanford F. Crystal is a member of Crystal & Company’s Executive Committee and is the Executive Vice President responsible for the firm’s Financial Institutions Group and Management and Professional Risks Group. The Financial Institutions Group services a wide range of financial services clients including broker/dealers, commercial banks, hedge funds, investment banks, investment managers, mutual funds, private equity firms, real estate investment trusts and venture capital firms. The Management and Professional Risks Group provides management and professional liability and fidelity insurance brokerage services and solutions to the firm's commercial client base.
Mr. Crystal began his career in London, working as a Lloyd's broker with Crawley Warren & Co. Subsequently, he was an underwriter in the Financial Institutions division of National Union Fire Insurance Company, a subsidiary of AIG. He has spoken on numerous industry panels and is frequently quoted in industry publications speaking to the risks facing financial institutions. Mr. Crystal received his BA in Political Science from Princeton University. He has been a member of the Museum’s Board of Trustees since 2012.
