Hema Balasubramanian | Panelist, "AI and Finance"
Hema Balasubramanian is a VP, Strategy and Innovation, in the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT). Her area of focus has been Emerging Technologies, specializing in AI for the last five years. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries and individuals.
FCAT is focused on accelerating innovation by harnessing new technologies to create innovative, user-centric products and experiences for customers and associates. Hema and the team have successfully built and released several AI-powered products during the last few years. She leverages Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile principles to identify opportunities and execute ideas with lean teams, and with rapid turnaround times.
Prior to Fidelity, Hema has more than 20 years of IT implementation experience working with clients, delivering value by rolling out new and innovative technologies and processes. She holds an Engineering degree from VJTI (University of Mumbai), India.
